I bought my Tesla Model S 70 in 2016 because I had been a fan of Tesla for along time and loved the design and look of the Model S. I also wanted to try to transition away from internal combustion engines to either hybrid or electric cars. I love the way my car looks, the acceleration, and it handles very nicely as well. The build quality overall has been good, very few mechanical issues. It is pretty plain in terms of luxury cars in the interior but otherwise it is fine. It has performed very well in my mind, with very few major issues.
Story
Seeing other Tesla owners around the local charger and getting to know them.
Pros
It is very speedy, the acceleration is faster than any other car I have owned or driven. I love the way my car looks. The interior screen is very futuristic, and the overall futuristic feel and look of the car was one of the reasons I was drawn to it. The handling is better than any other car I have owned. The service that Tesla provides is also very good, including roadside assistance. I like not having to go to the gas station to fill up. Usually I will just plug in the car when I get home from work and it'll be full by the morning.
Cons
It is expensive to maintain a luxury car, including higher insurance premiums, cost of tires, maintenance, etc. As an electric car, the range is limited by the battery, and charging the battery, even at a Tesla Supercharger, can take hours at times. This adds hours and hours to any long road trip planning.

2016 Tesla Model S - The best car I will probably ever own.

I love this vehicle. It drives supremely smoothly and quietly, so much so that it catches riders by surprise when I drive them. The acceleration often catches them off guard as well. The interior is more luxurious than I have owned in past, but I'm usually more intent on the functionality of the car to notice much. The display in the center of the car is nice, but I wish that there were better solutions to some of the apps that run on it.
Story
Nearly every time that I use a supercharger on a road trip there are 2-3 others charging, and at least willing to share a story or two. It gives a sense of camaraderie to owning this vehicle.
Pros
The acceleration and electric motor are the top positive features of my vehicle. The sleek design impresses others and lets me stand out in a crowd. I also get free mileage for road trips, so that is a serious positive benefit. Even when I don't use the supercharger network, it costs me ~50% of the price of gas to go the same distance.
Cons
The applications that run on the tablet are proprietary and cannot be changed. I loathe TuneIn, the feature set on that application is severely lacking. The mapping application uses Google maps for navigation, which is nice, but it fails to allow me to plan trips the way that I want to (there and back again trips).
