A great choice.
We bought our 2011 Toyota Corolla because the price was right and it suited our needs. There are not a lot of frills, no automatic door locks or windows, just a simple, four door car that will get us from point A to point B. We live in an area that has hot summers and cold winters, and sometimes we get a lot of snow in the winters. The car is light weight and occasionally it is difficult to keep it under control when the streets are snowy and icy, but not being a car expert, I am not sure if that is because of the car itself or because we have all weather tires instead of snow tires. We have two kids and the child safety locks on the back doors come in very handy. This makes it possible for us to open the car doors from the outside, but the kids cannot get them open from the inside. There is plenty of room in the back seat allowing us to fit two full sized car seats back there at one point. Leg room might become an issue as the kid grow, but right now everyone is comfortable back there. There is a middle buckle so we can fit a third person in the back seat, but I don't imagine it would be a very comfortable fit. The trunk is spacious and able to fit groceries, a small bike, and anything else we have really every needed to transport. Overall we are very satisfied with our 2011 Toyota Corolla.

Toyota Corolla LE 2006
Got this 2006 Toyota Corolla LE in 2013 with 8,700 miles on it. It's been nothing but a great car so far. Small and very maneuverable but spacious inside and very dynamic. Have had good experiences both in the city and the country. Keep it in good shape by doing a Full Safety Check every 6 months. The only thing that took a month or so to get used to was how light it is--having learned to drive using a pickup truck mainly. In the snow or slippery weather, good all-weather or snow tires are a must I would think because the car itself is pretty light.
