Overall, this vehicle was adequate. Being it's fourth owner left it shaky, and in need of repair; but it got from Point A to B, as a car should. And none of it's previous owners had complaints, so she had a pretty good run.
Story
The first time the radio malfunctioned I just sat in the car wondering if a demon was trying to possess me, and my boss had to come out and see if I was alive.
Pros
The gas mileage for this car is excellent. The build is convenient, being four-door, with the back seats able to fold down. The security is good as well; there are locks, alarms, and levers inside the car to unlock the gas tank, hood, and trunk.
Cons
Even after full transmission and clutch replacements, she is stubborn and refuses to recover. Cosmetic details like the covers over the lock and window switches just fall off. And the dashboard design is cute, but a dust collector. The radio malfunctions to sound like an angry robot yelling at you. That's not made up.

I had never heard of the Matrix before I purchased it but when I first saw it I kind of fell in love with it. I had also never considered a hatchback vehicle before. It made sense though, as I love to go camping and the hatchback provides a ton of space for all the necessary gear. The Matrix is fairly decent on gas mileage, handles fairly well in the snow, and in general is just a great car to drive. I’ve had minimal problems with it in the 6 years that I’ve owned it, and I bought it used and it’s coming up on 170,000 miles.
Pros
The gas mileage and the space are definitely pros of the Matrix. The gas tank isn’t huge but you get a lot out of what you put into it. The space in the back is also great. In addition to going camping I also enjoy biking. If I need to go somewhere and take my bike I don’t have to worry about getting a bike rack, I can fold my seats down and put my bike right in the back of the car. The Matrix also has secret storage compartments.
Cons
The car could be a little more powerful for its size. It’s only a 4 cylinder and as it’s getting up there in mileage sometimes steep hills are a struggle. Other than that, I don’t have any more complaints.

The dealership was somewhat friendly and listened to my needs and wants when buying a car. The service department explained everything thoroughly and gave me a breakdown on what was going on with my car. The service department worked efficiently and I never had to wait long for my vehicle.

The team at Hoselton Toyota was really patient with us. We had really specific needs for our car, and they helped us narrow down the very best deal on the very best car for our family. They've also been great about fixing little issues quickly.
