Among the best car out there. The most important thing I love about it, its all about its fuel consumption.

This car is not flashy, but it gets you where you need to go. As with all Corollas, it gets good mileage. I used to have a 1997 Corolla, and they did not change the body style at all between 1997 and 2002. I honestly think this style is cute, and looks better than the mid-2000s models. My 1997 Corolla had better brakes, but the 2002's brakes are fine and it is a bit zippier. There is a decent amount of trunk space, and it seats four people comfortably but five is kind of a squeeze. The mirrors and cupholders are adequate. In the five years I've driven this car, I've only had to take it in for repairs beyond normal maintenance twice. Once was for the alternator belt, and once for the driver's door handles. Both were fairly inexpensive repairs, about $300 each. My car has 163K miles on it right now, and I easily see it making it to 200K. It has a few dings and scratches on it, but who cares since it's from 2002? That is one reason it would be a great car for a young driver. It is also small, which has made parking easier, especially when I lived in Los Angeles. This car probably shouldn't be used for off-roading, but for getting around town, it is the perfect car for me.
