I have owned my Toyota Highlander for 10 years now and it still looks and drives great. I have never had any major mechanical issues in all the years that I have owned it. It has taken the wear and tear of two boys in all this time. It has survived snacks, sports equipment, crayons, and all the dirt and grime that they have brought to the interior. With leather seats, it is easy to wipe off the mess. Living in Arizona, many friends felt it was a bad call to go for the leather seats due to the burning sun but I am not disappointed at all in the decision. The car still drives with excellence. It has made several trips to California and Nevada, as well as the daily commute to school and work. I have always felt safe in my Highlander and enjoyed the smooth drive. For the size, gas... (more)
Story
We bought the Highlander just before the birth of our son. We drove him home from the hospital in our Highlander. He has been driven to and from all the major event in his life: the first day of school, family vacations, swim lessons, and more recently his All-Star baseball Champion game.
Pros
My favorite features of my Highlander are the leather seats, garage door built in button, color, and reliability.
Cons
The only con that I can think of is the leg room in the third row flip up seats. Only my son and nephew can fit.

I have owned my Toyota Highlander 2005 as a new vehicle from the dealership lot. It has always been very reliable and has really held up over time. My vehicle has upgrades such as leather seats that I have always liked, a tow package and a sun roof.
Story
We took our Highlander to the drive-in movies and parked it backwards to utilize the roomy trunk space.
Pros
I have had very few mechanical issues over the years besides the necessary repairs for wear and tear. Compared to other vehicles I have owned, I have noticed that this vehicle has good few mileage. It is easy to fold down the second row seating for more space to move larger items. The leather seats are easy to clean, which is important when transporting children.
Cons
There is third row seating that folds down in this model. I like the ease of the fold down, but the leg room is impossible. It worked for my son and nephew when they were smaller, but as they grow it becomes tighter and less comfortable and I find that we don't use it as much in less we need to transport extra people. Now that the vehicle is over ten years old I have noticed electrical issues with the windows and locks if the outside temperature is over 100.

They were very helpful, kind and great with my kids. They were not high pressure about having to buy the car that we wanted but once we decided they helped us through the process. I would totally go back to them and really appreciated their demeanor rather than being super pushy!

Their website offered great insight about the cars that they had on the property. The price that they were asking was a good price for the model and year after comparing with other dealerships. Very friendly people from the start to finish and very accommodating.
