The Corolla is the perfect-sized vehicle for 1-4 people and daily use. It's not the most amazing car you'll ever drive, but it performs admirably for its small size and has decent fuel economy. This car will last for a very long time (130,000+ miles). It will handle just about anything you can throw at it, including ice, wind, snow, hail, rain, or shine.
Story
I've taken many road trips to visit distant friends and popular parks, restaurants, etc. One trip that stands out was driving out to the nearby university in the winter on frozen roads. Despite the conditions, the car was great and handled with very little sliding or loss of control.
Pros
The vehicle is extremely practical, isn't unattractive to look at, and serves as a reliable vehicle year-round in any conditions. Despite not being top-tier, it nevertheless remains a comfortable vehicle and features great temperature controls. What you see is pretty much just what you will receive - very little related to the car is surprising. I love the ample trunk space.
Cons
The Corolla could definitely use a better built-in sound system; speakers and quality are lacking. Additionally, the engine can take a little bit of time to warm up and get going in colder months. You might notice the vehicle becoming a little unstable at higher speeds (65+) on the freeway.

I love how it gets great gas mileage. I dislike how much plastic is around the edges and how the splash guard plastic clips fall out. I have had to put very little into the maintenance of the car. The engine runs fairly quite. I love how the interior on my model is black and the seats are comfortable. I wish it did have a little better acceleration, but I would have to sacrifice fuel economy for that. My oil changers say they are amazed on how clean my oil even after I drive it past the recommended time (I also work my car quite a bit). The springs in my car could be a little firmer, but that might be because I take it on dirt roads sometimes. The air through the ac sometimes leaves a musty smell even though I replaced the cabin filter. I does feel like it has a little more sway than I... (more)
Story
I drove from central Washington to New Mexico with my girlfriend to pick up a friend and take him back to Washington. On the way back we went and rock climbed Castleton Tower in Moab, Utah. We drove an hour on a primitive road to get there and started our approach in the afternoon heat. We finally reached the top of Castleton Tower at sunset and we had to down climb in the dark. We arrived at ... (more)
Pros
My car (Sapphira, GF named her) has great fuel economy, usually around 35 mpg. I have had to put very little into maintaining her, but I do go with higher grade synthetic oil. She is really comfortable for a smaller sedan. She handles really well, except for a little extra sway on the corners. The VSC works really well and helps her handle better in icy conditions She sounds the same as the first day I got her. She's small enough to get in and out of tight places. I do not have to worry about breaking down on a very long road trip. She runs at low rpms and the engine never seems to get ver... (more)
Cons
She has plastic clips that fallout on the splash guard underneath and it will make her rattle (I use zip ties now). If you hit her a little bit on the front bumper it'll will cost $700 to replace. If the previous owner smoked inside her, the smell takes forever to get rid of. Her chain or vsc seems to kick in when you hit a bump too fast and it makes a bad sound. She has a little two much sway on turns, but I've been able to dodge about a few dozen deer and she never lost control. Her springs are a little worn out and perhaps her shocks. She seems to retain a musty smell from her old filte... (more)
