The 2007 Toyota Highlander offers good looks and an overall fun driving experience. The sharp angles and generally boxy appearance of the exterior are quite pleasant to the eye. Both the front and back seats are comfortable during long trips in the car. The Highlander offers quick acceleration and power and is ideal to drive in cities, on highways, and on back roads. The car drives very safely and handles well in rainy and snowy conditions despite a lack of four wheel drive.
Story
Packing my entire apartment into the Highlander to drive 10 hours away from home to take a new job.
Pros
There is plenty of space in the Highlander. I was able to fit everything from my apartment (minus furniture) into it while I moved cross country this year. In my experience, Toyotas have a great line span and my Highlander is no exception. Repairs have been few and far between as well. One cool feature is the move-able insert for the front cup holders that can be moved to fit the size of my beverage.
Cons
Unfortunately even when driving exclusively on highways, I have never gotten over 20 miles per gallon. I also wish that my Highlander had four wheel drive. In snowy or icy weather, the plastic door handles sometimes feel as it they might break off. The tire pressure light is always on despite multiple attempts to fix the issue.
