I have driven the Prius for several different commutes and it is one of the best cars for commuting. The gas mileage is great and for stop and go traffic it can achieve 50 mpg. Without a regular stop and go I see more around 45 mpg. The seat is comfortable and while the acceleration is not great it can get up to speeds decently quick. The single cup holder in the front is somewhat annoying and while the trunk is a decent size I would not recommend it for a family vacation.
Story
I have taken this car all over and it runs like a champ. I once took it a on a quick road trip from Houston to Alabama and back in one day and without having stop much.
Pros
The gas mileage is by far the most exciting idea of this vehicle. It may only have a ten gallon tank, but it can easily go as far if not further than some other cars with larger tanks. It is a great car for road trips with two people.
Cons
The car has a very low clearance so it is easy to scrap it on stops on the front of parking spots and can scrape on speed bumps. The front cup holder is good, but the lack of other cup holders make it annoying when getting fast food.

It's a great car that gets some great gas mileage. It averages about 50 miles to the gallon, which is great for the longer commutes. I'm a tall person and it even had enough room for me to fit in which seems harder and harder to find these days with cars getting so small. The air conditioning in it catches up faster thanks to it being a small car and it's a little low to the ground, but I honestly can say I haven't had a car this nice before. It's also neat owning a car that is so quiet, but I have yet to figure out how you can jump another car off with it, so that might be a concern.
Story
I had to jump my parents off one time, since the battery died in their car, but I couldn't figure out how, since there is no battery under the hood.
Pros
Again, it has great leg room Fantastic gas mileage Good sound system Quiet
Cons
Stigma associated with hybrid cars A bit low to the ground for taller people Can't jump other cars off
