Toyota Prius Owner Ratings & Reviews

2013 Toyota Prius - Proud about Prius.
My wife and I bough the Prius for the gas mileage. I was tired of filling up every 3rd day and when gas prices were between $3 and $4 it became a real financial burden to fill up. The greatest aspect of Prius ownership is the fuel economy. We average between 45mpg and 50 mpg on trips covering distances of greater than 10 miles. The Prius has 3 modes that it can be driven in. The first mode is EV or electric vehicle. This mode is only for speeds not exceeding 10mph and we never use it. ECO mode is economy mode and where I leave it for the majority of my driving. At speeds below 44mph the car runs off of battery power switching to engine power at speeds above 44mph. POWER mode is exactly as stated. Power and plenty of it. The Prius is a very lightly built vehicle so in power mode it is v... (more)
Story
Driving along the beach front is always a blast. The Prius actually gets better fuel mileage in the city as opposed to highway driving. I can drive the Biloxi beachfront on electric power for about 5 miles. Talk about green.
Pros
Fuel mileage is the best in class and Toyota means quality for years. The cost to own and operate is extremely low even with routine maintenance being performed at the dealership.
Cons
The only con is that in order to maximize fuel efficiency the Prius is built light which equates to road noise that is above average.
2005 Toyota Prius - Love the car.
It is blue-colored Toyota Prius 2005. I bought it from another person. I like the design of the car. Being a hybrid car, it gives greater mileage. It is considered to the best efficient car in USA. That was the most fascinating feature from my point of view. These cars are made to last longer and saves you a lot of money. Great fuel economy and smooth ride. I am, in general, very happy with the performance of my car.
Story
MY car pick up is not great. So it slows down on an upward slope. It was down to 22mph in main highway. And traffic was jammed. That was an awkward but fun moment for me.
Pros
Interior looks good on my car. It is spacious. It looks small from outside but very spacious from inside. Fuel economy which gives you a lot of mileage and hence saves you a lot of money in total. It is a very nice car that has smooth two-wheel drive capabilities. Durability is the other factor which is good about the car. And, most importantly, it is affordable as well.
Cons
Batteries need to be replaced eventually which cost you a lot of money. I drove other vehicles as well, and I found the steering and handling not so responsive as compared to other vehicles.
