This car is extremely reliable. Throughout more than two decades, it has consistently been a car that I can rely on. A few minor issues over the years but for the most part, nothing major. It has survived moving from Texas to California. It has survived many, many road trips. The car has never left me stranded in the middle of the night.
Story
Going on road trips around the country. One particular time we drove from El Paso to Carlsbad. The car made the trip perfectly fine. It was about a two and a half hour trip. We went to visit Carlsbad Caverns first. Unfortunately, we started our trip too late. By the time we got to the caverns, they were already closed for the day. We decided to stay the night at a hotel and then in the morning... (more)
Pros
This car is durable. It is a 4 x 4 so it is good in all kinds of situations. It can even drive through dirt or grass or mountain/rocky terrain. I have always felt safe in this vehicle. There has never been a time where I felt afraid of being in the vehicle or I felt unsafe or feared for my safety. This car is a great car and perfect for road trips.
Cons
The only con about this car that I could think of, even though it's not a huge problem, is the age of the car. The car is a 1997 model, so it's about 21 years old. It's not very easy to find parts for this car just because of the fact that it is so old. You have to spend a little bit more extra time and effort when searching for parts for this car.

This vehicle was approximately four years old with 80,000 miles on it when I purchased it. The upholstery was of good quality and easy to clean. The dashboard and radio controls were well laid out and it was easy to find the buttons I needed without diverting too much attention from driving. I had no issues with the car itself during the time I owned it.
Story
My husband and I took our daughter camping in New Mexico when she was around two years old. It was supposed to be pleasant weather, but we were surprised by a strong storm in the middle of the night. We were able to lay the rear seats forward and we all spend the night in the back of the car.
Pros
When the rear seats are laid forward, the cargo area is very spacious. I was able to fit an entire gas grill in the rear that I spontaneously purchased one day! Also, my family was caught in a surprise rainstorm when camping one night and with the seats laid forward we were able to sleep (somewhat) comfortably in the rear of the car. The car was very easy to drive with almost no blind spots.
Cons
The only negative thing I found about this vehicle is that it is somewhat small for a family with tall members. When our daughter was placed into a forward-facing car seat, we had to rearrange so that she sat behind the passenger seat. With that configuration my husband could no longer sit in the passenger seat because his knees touched the dashboard. For a smaller family or single owner this car would be wonderful, though.

This dealership was great because all I had to do was pick the car! The salesman did all the work, no haggling or pushiness. Great people and always great for servicing the vehicle!

The salesmen were not too aggressive, offered me food and drink while I was there, and they did not push me to buy something I wasn't looking for.
