2006 Toyota Sienna - Love it - don't want to give it up!
I love this car, and while it's showing its age, it still performs well and I don't really want to give it up. So it is my hope that it will continue to be reliable even as it enters its second decade of life. The best thing about a Toyota is its reliability. Knock wood - the car does its job. It has never failed me, never left me stranded. The best thing about a mini-van is the convenience. When you need to have six or seven people traveling together, there's nothing that beats the mini-van. Sure, with seven it can be a bit of a squeeze in the back, but nothing unbearable. Or, put the seats down and haul stuff. Lots of stuff. A bicycle fits in the car with no problem. A new TV. We even bought an overstuffed recliner and - once we took it out of its box - it fit! Best of all, you feel ... (more)
Story
Very memorable trip to the Florida Keys. Six of us went for a pre-wedding girls weekend. We were able to fit all of us, plus all of our stuff (and believe me, there was plenty of stuff!!) with no problem whatsoever. We had so much fun that weekend, and the car handled beautifully. Even in the downpours, which unfortunately occurred quite often during the trip.
Pros
Convenience of owning a minivan - seats 7, plenty of room, excellent handling, very reliable.
Cons
Not great on gas mileage, dashboard cracked almost immediately in hot/humid conditions.
2006 Toyota Sienna - Love it!
Fabulous car overall. Super comfortable and practical. Great for hauling large objects or up to seven people. Everyone rides in comfort—plenty of room to stretch out. Well, you can't really put three full grown adults in the very back, but for sure, kids can go back there. Or, you can put the seats down and haul stuff—bikes, appliances, even a huge recliner was able to fit. Lots of cup holder and nooks and crannies for storage. Reliable car—has never let me down in all these years. Best of all, you know you're safe in a Toyota. You know it'll survive a minor accident. It's always rated highly in accident testing. Plus it's so big—that's a huge advantage for surviving minor collisions.
Story
The time seven of us went to the lake. We filled the car with ourselves, our luggage, and a ton of snacks and beverages for the trip. We had so much fun, and it was great that we all fit!
Pros
Comfort, reliability, and safety. So comfortable, whether it's just me or I'm driving a bunch of people around. Toyota's are known for reliability, and this one was no exception—it's never let me down! And you can read reports everywhere that talk about Toyota's safety records. Even better, when the car is really big like this one.
Cons
Gas usage isn't the best. It's a minivan, and it's pretty old, so it doesn't do too well in that area. Also, the dashboard totally cracked over the years. That shouldn't have happened, but whatever material they used for the dash, it didn't take the heat and humidity too well.

2004 Toyota Celica - Jenkins Nissan Lakeland
Great customer service! Sales person helped us get financing for the car even though our credit scores are not good. The sales person made us feel very comfortable and answered all our questions. We were lucky to get our Toyota Celica at the Nissan dealer, because it was a trade-in. We received the car in good condition and low miles!
