2007 Toyota Yaris - Great Vehicle for Every Day Use
This vehicle has consistently hit 36+ MPG on highway and city mileage. I haven't had any serious issues with it yet at 120,000 miles. It's been able to perform well through the mountains, snow, rain, etc. While I don't recommend taking it off-road, this vehicle has gone off-road plenty of times and made it out! Thank goodness. The car doesn't perform well over a certain load limit, though. It definitely wasn't meant to be loaded down with people or anything over a certain weight (what's the weight?). This vehicle has been pushed to it's limits and rolled with the punches.
Story
I love throwing a kayak on top of this car and heading to the river.
Pros
Top pros of this vehicle include the excellent gas mileage, cheap capital cost for purchase, and reliability. I purchased this vehicle for about $12,000 after taxes and it has gone the distance with me.
Cons
The body of the car is cheap and easily dented by minor collisions (opening a door into something). It can't handle small loads carried in the trunk and backseat at the same time. Some of the paint is beginning to wear off of the vehicle (8 years old car, though).
2013 Toyota Yaris - Great car, never any mechanic problems with a lot of power.
The car is small, which makes the ride not very smooth, although it has a lot of power for a small car.
Story
I am really enjoying using this vehicle for patient transportation at my job. It is extremely comfortable, and I enjoy seeing the country side in it around Tennessee.
Pros
I've never had one mechanical problem with 47,000 miles on it. It does not rattle or anything while driving but you do hear the road.
Cons
It's so small; it doesn't ride very smoothly.
