I bought this car when in a pinch when my previous one had broke down. I have three young children and cannot be without a car for more than a few days. I wasn't sure about this line of cars having never drove one but I see them all around wherever I go. I see old and new models no matter the condition.
Story
No fun stories really to share. It's my workhorse.
Pros
This car is a tank and the parts are relatively cheap seeing as it's so common. It's been a tank at least mine has and everyone I've know that has owned one. It gets mediocre gas mileage but mines still ticking at 205k miles and have only had to replace a 100 dollar part here and there but nothing too insane. It handles well and drives especially smooth on the highway which I have to drive on that often. It looks pretty standard to all the other models so if you don't feel like sticking out and blending in this car is for you as they are all over the place. The auto dimming mirror is also ... (more)
Cons
The negative, at least with my year, is that it's pretty bumpy and sluggish for me in town. The newer models might be better with that but I cannot speak to that. It's gas mileage isn't that great and gets really bad when your in need of a tune-up and oil change. It really doesn't come with much in terms of extras at all. Standard cd player and not a ton of room for three kids in car seats in the backseat. The power steering is also the biggest pain in the rear end to reach and even to add fluid to.

2001 Buick LeSabre - Reliable but not much room for 3 kids

I like that it's a widely made car that is easy to obtain parts for at 200k miles. I dislike the average gas mileage even when new. I like more of a sleek kind of sporty look so not a big fan of the styling of the car. I don't really like the tan color or the shape for a 4 door. It's comfortable enough in front but could be better. Family of 5 has a hard time fitting though especially with 3 toddler seats in the back. As I stated the cabin doesn't really have a lot of room but the trunk does have ample room for all the groceries and a stroller. The car's quality is I'm sure great when it is brand new but not so great anymore with sun damage, road salt rust, and small cosmetic dings. Noises are few but some squeaking from the running engine under the hood but that's probably due to need... (more)
Story
Its survived a lot of beatings including a tree falling on it.
Pros
Reliable Lots of trunk space automatic headlights dimming mirror folding in side mirrors parts are cheap 2 cigarette lighter spots for charging electronics
Cons
no heat or ac controls for the back area only average on fuel economy not a lot of extra features but it is 2001 sub par handling sup par acceleration not a lot of cabin space for 5 person family power steering is a huge hassle to reach for changing the part and adding fluid
