I am a college student who was looking for a budget car to run safely for around 20-50 miles/day. I purchased my vehicle in 2015. It was used and appeared to have previously been in a accident (broken glass inside the car, etc). However, it has been one of the most durable and reliable cars I've owned. I expected to require body work after I bought it, but it only needed regular maintaince items (brake pads, tires, etc.) which is nice. For an older car, it is high quality and runs efficiently. It rarely has problems apart from regular maintaince tasks. There is plenty of space for 2-4 people to travel comfortably. Overall, I would recommend it for those who need a car that's reliable and easy on the budget.
Story
There are a few drive-in move theaters in my state that the car was perfect for!
Pros
I like that the car is reliable. I have not had any major problems with it, so it is easy on my budget. It seems to get relatively good gas mileage for an older car. It is comfortable. The heat and air work great. Lots of space in the trunk and backseat for storing things. I feel safe when driving this car. I also live in a state with cold winters, and the car is easy to drive in snow and ice.
Cons
To preface this, most of the negatives with this vehicle are just because I have an older car and a limited budget. I am also not very "car savvy" and many of these problems may be mitigated by someone who is more knowledgeable. That said, the dash lights are confusing and don't seem to line up with the lights I've seen universally in the past. Makes it difficult to figure out what the problem is. The gas tank is in a weird place. The car doesn't seem to be great at traveling long distances (more than 100 miles or so at one time).

I've owned this vehicle since it was new and have found it to be amazingly reliable. It almost always started, even on the coldest winter days (-20+ below zero). This vehicle was roomy and well-appointed, without being a luxury vehicle. Its handling was consistently smooth and had plenty of storage space. It was reasonably good on gas mileage. While there are certainly cars with better gas mileage, this one was not bad. It handled quite well in the snow. With good all-season tires, it could plow through 3-4 inches of snow with ease.
Story
Probably the best thing I can say about this car is that it almost always starts in really cold (sub-zero) weather. When other cars refused to start, this car would turn over.
Pros
The best things about the Classic Ford Taurus is the reliability. With regular maintenance, this car ran very well in all seasons. The vehicle is comfortable and has a good safety rating. The factory sound system in the car is great. The upholstery on the vehicle has held up well for many years, maintaining a very good appearance.
Cons
There is a consistent leak in the trunk. The dealership was never able to fix it. There was a consistent oil leak that was never addressed by mechanics. Finally, this vehicle has gone through three separate timing chains within the first 100,000 miles. Finally, the wheel wells on that model rust significantly.
