2015 Ford Fiesta - Economy car with some premium features
One thing that I really like about my car is that it's (surprisingly) good for winter driving. The body of the car is far enough from the ground that it is super easy to pass through the snow, it heats up relatively quickly, and the back windshield wiper is super helpful in a snowstorm. I also love the features like sync, the number of cup holders, and the fact that it has multiple charging stations. Additionally, even though it is probably the smallest car I've ever owned, the hatchback makes it so easy to tote things- which can be a bad thing sometimes because my family members are always asking me to tote things for them now!
Story
I love driving my car around my state and going to state parks. It really handles well in different terrain-- even rough terrain!
Pros
I love the way it looks! You have so many color options to choose from when you're shopping for a Fiesta. The SYNC system is super intuitive and easy to use as well. By far the best feature of this car though is the fuel economy, I am consistently amazed by how many MPG I am getting in this car.
Cons
My least favorite thing about this car is that fact that it is a little bit noisy between 20-40 mph. Anything under or over and it sounds fine, but it rattles between those speeds for whatever reason.
2013 Ford Fiesta - Nice feel but mechanical issues
Overall, this is a wonderful car for its compact size. It combines a nice look, excellent fuel economy, comfortable interior, and lots of electronic features. But while it excels in those, it unfortunately falls short in its mechanical performance.
Fuel Economy
This is probably the best thing about it, at times averaging 38-42 miles per gallon. You'd be hard-pressed to find that much in anything other than an electric or hybrid. There is a fuel economy meter which is important many times to visually see how your driving or vehicle health are impacting your gas mileage.
Engine
It's a small engine (1.6L) so obviously don't expect it to go terribly fast. However, because of its smaller size it can be quite a zippy little thing.
Handling
Great handling and braking. Always felt safe driv... (more)
Story
There's really nothing fun or memorable about it other than the transaxle issues that causes all our passengers to complain about the noise and jerkiness of the ride.
Pros
Fuel economy, compact while still feeling somewhat roomy, comfort, smooth ride when in good mechanical condition, electronic features and exterior design are all good highlights to this car.
Cons
It can be a little small if you're used to something on the large side. Watch out for its inferior construction, quality of parts used, and poor engineering. It's no fun having a car that jerks down the road because of a bad transaxle design out of the factory.
