Grand Prairie, TX Driving Tips
Slow down and watch for cops. This town is crawling with speed traps and there seems to be a cop every three blocks or so.
Grand Prairie, TX Buying Tips
Gas mileage is something that is good anywhere, but it's particularly good in towns where there are toll roads. Since you'll likely be paying for a toll tag, you should try and minimize your expenses and save on how much gas you consume. Lots of decent craigslist cars in the metroplex-- be thorough and diligent. If you have time, stick to craigslist you'll find a better deal. Stay away from Vandergriff brand-- bad experiences abound from me.
Favorite driving memory
My wife and I have a drive that we love to make anytime either of us has had a particularly rough day. It's driving down BL rd. Until we make it to the red flashing lights on the radio towers. It's a drive we made by accident one night when we first began dating and now it's one that brings positive vibes and serenity to us on multiple occasions.
Favorite road
Hwy 161. It's a tollway, so it's minimum stress driving and just smooth new roads that make driving great. I've never seen crazy traffic on this road and there are no speed traps. This is part of why I love it so much.

Grand Prairie, TX Driving Tips
Avoid rush hour, and learn the side roads. This will definitely save you a lot of time.
Grand Prairie, TX Buying Tips
Look for a vehicle that is good with gas. Traffic can be pretty rough, and you can be stuck in traffic anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour.
Favorite driving memory
My favorite memory has to the time, I was driving down Main Street, near the railroad tracks, and I happened to see the train carrying about thirty military tanks. That day was pretty fascinating. I don't think I have ever seen tanks that close, in my life.
Favorite road
Randol Mill. Since Grand Prairie, is near Arlington, I love driving on Randol Mill near the Dallas Cowboy Stadium. I've seen a couple of Cowboy players driving out of the stadium, which makes it my favorite road to drive on.
