Mesquite, TX Driving Tips
Watch out for everyone else who is driving. Do no trust them to know what they're doing, or where they should be stopping. Don't trust them to remember whose turn it is at the stop light. Be super aware at all times.
Favorite driving memory
Driving around my general area when I first moved here. Seeing what a small area this is, all the little stores and houses. It reminded me of where I grew up as a kid. It's quiet, a bit spread out, there is low traffic, it makes for peaceful driving.
Favorite road
Pioneer Road. So many of the things I need are on this road. It has my favorite park, my nearest grocery store, the laundromat. It's a small road, with a circle in the middle that can take me to many other important roads. It connects to most of the roads that I really need. And it's a beautiful small town drive with trees and kids.

Mesquite, TX Driving Tips
Stay away from Scyene/ Military exit off 635 during football/ rodeo season when driving at night. Unless you want to take side roads into Dallas (the big city), then Scyene/ Military is the best option.
Mesquite, TX Buying Tips
I always search online for the best deal. I am usually able to find better deals outside the city. The last two cars that I have bought, I was able to find for the least amount of money by searching for a month or two before purchasing. I always pay with cash, no financing. I think it makes the dealers pay attention when purchasing a car.
Favorite driving memory
When I was a teenager, I had a station wagon and I would have it loaded down with as many people as could possibly fit. We would just drive around Mesquite, up and down Galloway Avenue. We thought we were so cool in that old station wagon.
Favorite road
Beltline. Beltline takes you anywhere you need to go. You can start out in Mesquite and end up 5 towns away just by driving on Beltline.
