2010 Chevrolet Cobalt - Got me around.
I liked that this car had power. It was small but I could easily merge onto a freeway without being jerked around. The car itself seemed to have been made well, with the exception of the weather stripping peeling off. I ended up getting into a car accident with this vehicle where I rear-ended a stopped minivan while going about 25 mph. The front of the car was so crushed in, I can't even imagine what the damage would have been if I had been going any faster.
Story
I took this car up north into the woods and drove around off-road to find a hiking trail that wasn't there.
Pros
It was small and compact. The car was easy to park and didn't take up much space, which was great because sometimes my parking is subpar.
Cons
There was a lot of noise inside the car. Going on road trips was horrible unless there was music playing, as the sound of the wind would drive me mad. There was not a lot of room in the back seat at all, which was also bad for road trips. The amount of trunk space is minimal, which it horrible for moving anything remotely big. The back doors are so small that they wouldn't fit any thing bigger than three feet wide.
2005 Chevrolet Cobalt - This car is high quality for the cost. This car has had few repairs and now has over 100,000 miles and is still running strong. The backseat is tight, I wish it could hold three car seats.
This car is high quality for the cost. This car has had few repairs and now has over 100,000 miles and is still running strong. I have used this car to commute, it has moved me to three different states and I believe it will still last another few years. The backseat is tight, I wish it could hold three car seats. We have tried several different ways but the max occupancy of the backseat is only two children in a car seat, no booster. The trunk is large, large enough to fit a large stroller and all of my groceries. I have an SUV and I cannot fit the stroller and my groceries but in this car I can. I love that although it is a compact car I still get a large trunk space.
Story
This car moved me to Texas with no family and then moved me to Arizona with my babies. I will always love this car.
Pros
This car was built to last and a great car for long commutes. This car has lasted me almost 13 years.
Cons
The backseat cannot hold my three small children in their car seats.
