2009 Ford Focus - Great little car with flaws
The 2006 is a small car with great gas mileage but little engine power. Acceleration is slow! It is a nice looking car that comes in a variety of colors. The upholstery holds up really well over time.
The big advantage to this car is, of course, the low price. For the cost, its reliable and cheap to operate and repair. Its easy to find a mechanic to work on a Ford and it will probably cost less to repair than a lot of other cars.
The Focus is small enough to park in tight spaces which is great compared to all the room an SUV or truck needs.
Despite being such a small car, the trunk space is huge and the back seats fold down. You can easily fit a 6 foot folding table in the back.

2008 Ford Focus - Review of 2008 Ford Focus
I purchased my 2008 Ford Focus in 2014. At first, the car ran perfectly. There were no rattling noises, and it handled great. After about a year of owning it, the water pump needed to be replaced. At the time, I thought "this is fine, these things happen," but then the radiator needed to be replaced, followed by the catalytic converter. All of these repairs were costly, and it really started to add up. After replacing so many things on the car, it never really ran as well as it did when I first purchased it. It rattled, and it didn't accelerate as fast. The whole experience made me weary of purchasing cars manufactured by Ford.
Story
After owning the car for about six months, I drove the car to Los Angeles with my wife. We had a great trip, and the car gave us no problems.
Pros
The car gets great fuel economy. The car has a feature that tells you what your average miles per gallon are, and the number always hovered between 31 and 34 miles per gallon, which I thought was great. There's also a surprising amount of storage space in the trunk.
Cons
Once the car was seven years old, it really seemed to break down. One thing after another kept breaking, and the repairs weren't cheap. There's also limited leg room in the backseat.
