I love that it has enough space inside for all of my friends and family to fit. It also can hold almost anything in the back that I want it to. It does get decent gas mileage, but nothing compared to some of the new trucks with all of the hybrid technology. I have done most of the maintenance on the truck. It consists of oil changes and replacement of brakes. It has been about average to maintain. I only put the best oil in there so that was more expensive, but this truck will last you a super long time if you will let it. I have the four-wheel drive version although there are some two-wheel drive options out there. It does seem to hold its value much better as the four-wheel drive version. The speaker in mine is messed up due to the previous owner having a loud system, but that is no ... (more)
Story
I have used it to go just about anywhere, and it is perfect for when it snows.
Pros
It has held its price value. It has tons of room inside and out. Love how low maintenance it has been.
Cons
Gas mileage is a big one. It does suck it down. It is also a larger vehicle so it has a poor turn radius and can be hard to park.

I bought this truck new and kept it in good shape. It was my first new vehicle purchase and is more modern than all of the cars that I have owned before. It has never left me stranded and has modern safety features. I've used it as a work truck primarily and have driven up and down the East Coast of the United States with it. While it is aesthetically pleasing and I enjoy the finishes, etc., it is underpowered. Having a v6 in a truck this big makes it lag, especially when hauling anything of substantial weight.
Story
I enjoyed driving to the beaches of Georgia with my girlfriend.
Pros
I enjoy the fuel economy when I'm on the highway. It's better than any truck I've owned before. The silver paint job looks good and the design is very no-frills. The interior is durable. I enjoy the fact that this truck has everything you need and nothing you don't. I have purchased older vehicles in the past because I don't like all of the unnecessary things that come on new cars, but this truck keeps things simple. It has never left me stranded.
Cons
This vehicle has very few cons. One complaint is that it is underpowered with the v6 engine. It is simply too small for the size of the chassis. Accelerating takes much too long, especially when hauling or going uphill. I wish that Chevrolet would offer a manual transmission for the Silverado to improve driver control. The tire sensors are also a bit of an annoyance, as they sometimes malfunction when the pressure is at the correct level.

I hadn't bought a new vehicle for the past 15 years. I recently went to Rick Hendrick Chevrolet in Duluth, Georgia because I had a supplier discount from work and $2,600 in rewards from my parents GM card. I really liked the experience with the salesperson, but the process was painful after I decided on a vehicle. I had to negotiate for almost 2 hours to get the price that I had originally put on the table. I was there for a total of 8. 5 hours. Had the negotiation not been a factor, I would have loved this process 100%.

I liked this dealership because all of the cars seemed to be fairly priced. Also for a random mom and pop car dealer they had a large selection. When I saw my car it was not even on the lot technically quite yet, but I just had to have it, they were so nice and answered every question I had. The first person I spoke to was the mechanic who willingly gave me the details of the cars condition and assured me this would be a great purchase for my first car.
