Dependable, for the most part
The powertrain is incredibly reliable. The 5.3L Vortec engine is strong and gets great fuel mileage for a V8. The transmission could shift better in my opinion. I like the interior. Chevrolet seems to always have a nicer interior than other makes and models of trucks. The truck tows very well.

Been a great truck so far
I bought my 2011 Silverado with 16,000 miles on it in 2012. It is a 5.3L Z-71 4x4 bench seat with an extended cab (half doors) and the 6.5 foot bed. Currently, the truck is reading just under 80,000 miles. Running gear wise, the truck as been great. Fit and finish are starting to get the normal Chevy rattles. Gas mileage is a little low even for a full-size 4x4 (averaging around 15mpg). For comparison, I had a 2007 and a 2008 Toyota Tundra with the 5.7 and both averaged around 18 mpg.

Best truck I owned
I bought the truck brand new in 2007, and sold it 2 years ago. This was the best truck I have every owned. I put over 80,000 miles on it from the time I bought it, until I traded it. in those 80,000 miles only routine maintenance was completed. The truck was a regular cab with the 5.3 v8 engine. It had plenty of power and got decent gas mileage for being a truck. Used it to move a few times and haul furniture and lawn equipment on occasion. The seats were really comfortable on long distance drives and the truck handled great driving down the highway. The trucks styling looked really well, especially in black!

Rick Hendrick Chevrolet Duluth
2014 Chevrolet 1252
I hadn't bought a new vehicle for the past 15 years. I recently went to Rick Hendrick Chevrolet in Duluth, Georgia because I had a supplier discount from work and $2,600 in rewards from my parents GM card. I really liked the experience with the salesperson, but the process was painful after I decided on a vehicle. I had to negotiate for almost 2 hours to get the price that I had originally put on the table. I was there for a total of 8. 5 hours. Had the negotiation not been a factor, I would have loved this process 100%.

I liked this dealership because all of the cars seemed to be fairly priced. Also for a random mom and pop car dealer they had a large selection. When I saw my car it was not even on the lot technically quite yet, but I just had to have it, they were so nice and answered every question I had. The first person I spoke to was the mechanic who willingly gave me the details of the cars condition and assured me this would be a great purchase for my first car.

I went in for service over a weekend. I was in and out very quickly. They were able to change the oil and repair a busted speaker with out issue. There was a nice waiting room for all of the people waiting on their cars/trucks to be worked on. Free coffee and plenty of cell reception so I could use my iPad while waiting. Thanks JEC.

This dealership is very courteous and polite. They make you feel at ease while you are shopping for a car. The employees here make you feel at home and never intimidate you. They are honest and show you the math up front. Also, this dealership hosts a Little League workshop in Macon once a year and pays for it all!
