We have had our Malibu for seven years, and it still feels like a new car. The ride is smooth, and the car is dependable. It always cranks up when we turn the key, and we never have to wonder if it will let us down wherever we want to go. Gas mileage is good. Visual depictions and verbal directions are clear we ask for directions. Features that came with the car that you can continue upon subscription are still reliable and work accurately. We use OnStar to give us accurate directions and enjoy listening to Satellite radio.
Story
An enjoyable trip was taking the car on its first road trip to Athens, GA. We took the scenic route (provided by OnStar). We listened to the satellite radio and arrived at our destination on time (which was a place we had never been). We had many options of getting there, and if we veered off the path, we were asked if we needed updated directions and given other pleasant pathways.
Pros
The ride is smooth. The car is always quick to start up. It never overheats. The dash warns us when air is too low in the tires and cautions us if there is potential danger on the roadways (ice may be on roads). OnStar is great for giving us directions, providing us with directory assistance, doing instantaneous diagnostic tests to tell us whether we need to take the car to the dealership immediately, or telling us ways to remedy a problem. Friends are always impressed with our talking" car. Sirius XM radio is a joy also.
Cons
We have had problems with the air bag notification system since we bought the car. The sensors that tell you if the airbag needs fixing is very sensitive and goes off if you go over a bump or move the drivers seat in a certain way. It is hard to tell whether there really is a problem or if it is just the sensor acting up. We have taken the car to the dealer for this problem several times only to have the sensor light come back on the same day. It seems like the technicians do not know how to fix it. Once we fix the sensor in a few weeks time, the light will come on again. If we take ... (more)

This Malibu has great handling on the road. It seems to have a very smooth ride as a driver as well as a passenger. The acceleration is a little bit of a drag. All the gauges are easy to read and notify me of my oil change schedule. I love the heated seats. While commuting back and forth to work the heated seats save my back, not to mention keep me warmer in the winter. When you commute as far as I do, gas mileage is a must. This Malibu has saved me 100's of dollars in fuel in the short 3 months I have owned it. The trunk is nice and roomy as well as deep, lots of carry space in there. I have noticed a few things I feel were bad design concepts in the interior. One being if you are over six feet tall, getting out can be a little painful to your head or forehead. I do have to comment o... (more)
Story
The day we purchased the car, left straight from the dealers for a 5 hours trip, a weekend get a way, we brought our bags with us , and just transferred them .
Pros
The way it rides very smooth and quiet. The gas mileage is very good.
Cons
Interior design overall. Cheap looking seats. Unusable storage slots. And the sliding console.

I went to the dealership in hopes of getting a car instead of an SUV. I was trading in my Ford Explorer 2001. I test drove a few cars that day, but none compared to the Chevy Malibu. It's a very smooth ride, hugs the road well and there is hardly any outside noises. The interior is very streamlined, and I love the touch screen on it. It's very easy to use. The exterior is very classy and outshines the older and even newer Malibu. There is enough room for my family and me. My boyfriend and I are tall people. I'm 5'8" and he's 6'2". We have more than enough leg room, which can't be said for many sedans. The only complaint I have is how low the car actually is. When I go over humps or turn out of certain drive ways, I will almost always scrape the bottom of my car. It's the worst, but I h... (more)
Story
I drove my family down to Savannah, GA. Was about a three-hour trip for us. It was one of the most comfortable rides. My old Ford Explorer was no match for the Malibu.
Pros
Smooth ride, great interior, comfortable seats, plenty of leg room, easy controls, lots of room for passengers as well.
Cons
Low to the ground.

This was my first experience purchasing a car on my own, but I have been with other people and experienced what it is like. Honestly, the staff at this location was very helpful and provided excellent customer service. They were truthful when it came to the status of the car and the reason for the price. When I took it out for a test drive, the guy that was helping me was extremely fun to talk to and make the experience personal. They did mess up some paperwork, but took off an additional $1,000 from the price due to their mistake; which I think is admirable.

I hadn't bought a new vehicle for the past 15 years. I recently went to Rick Hendrick Chevrolet in Duluth, Georgia because I had a supplier discount from work and $2,600 in rewards from my parents GM card. I really liked the experience with the salesperson, but the process was painful after I decided on a vehicle. I had to negotiate for almost 2 hours to get the price that I had originally put on the table. I was there for a total of 8. 5 hours. Had the negotiation not been a factor, I would have loved this process 100%.
