2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 - Good truck; model changed.
The truck is great. Chevy has always made a quality product, and the 2014 Silverado is no exception. I love the comfort, and the way it drives like a car.
Story
In Houston, we had ice that was somewhat of a rarity here in the Armpit (what I call Houston, cause we lived and loved Fort Worth). This truck was able to get me to HEB, Wal-Mart, etc., for food, necessities, beer, etc. I loved driving this truck in 4X4!
Pros
The 4x4 is awesome. This truck handles well in the ice and it was a lifesaver during Hurricane Harvey. The all leather interior and the stitching make this truck look very luxurious. I has a rugged look, and a tough frame which we need here in Texas.
Cons
I've had to do some maintenance on the truck differing from the usual upkeep that is necessary to maintain a vehicle. I go to my title. I will not buy a vehicle in its first year of production again. What I mean is, this was the first model of the 2014 version of the truck. I think sometimes it is trial and error with the body style and the parts the exterior protects on the inside. I also hate the fact that the gas cap not being tightened to unbelievable extents after filling up cause your service engine light to come on. Ridiculous. Also there is a sensor inside the gas tank that malfunc... (more)
2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 - The Truck That Could
What I loved about this vehicle is the fact that It was so durable that I am still able to drive it to this day with very few dislikes. It is so comfortable and heavy duty that I use it for just about anything. It's my everyday truck and has been for the past few years. Its performance is still top notch.
Story
A memorable story that was fun for me was the time i helped a friend of mine move into a new apartment, my truck was literally so filled with all of his stuff that it was hard to move without almost dropping something onto the road.
Pros
My favorite thing about this truck honestly is the fact that it is so roomy. I'm able to fit my entire family inside of the truck with ease, and for any work tools or parts the bed always has just the right amount of room and sometimes even more.
Cons
It runs through gas. Although that is to be expected out of a truck it also makes a strange ticking sound from time to time now that it has gotten older.
