I purchased this car used after I had my fourth child. I bought it thinking that I needed the extra seating. It has been one of the best vehicles I have ever owned. In the four years I have owned this vehicle, I have had no significant mechanical problems. In fact, I haven't had to change a single part. Only things that are made to wear out like tires and brakes. We have two seats in the middle row. Some of these vehicles come with a middle-bench seat. I originally wanted the two seats, but now I would like to put in bench seats. With my whole family in the vehicle, we have room for one extra passenger. If we installed a bench seat, we would have room for two additional passengers. This is a great family vehicle. It comes with a built-in DVD player and dual screens. The kids ca... (more)
Story
We have really enjoyed taking this vehicle to the beach. It holds everyone comfortably with all the gear in the back. The back hatch opens up and provides shelter from sun or rain. It makes a nice beach shade when we park directly on the beach.
Pros
Heated leather seats. Plenty of passenger room. Rear space for groceries/sports gear, etc. DVD player in the back.
Cons
Does not have bench seating in the middle row. Gas mileage is not optimal.

My 2008 suburban is overall a decent vehicle. It shows some wear and tear after 7 years, but with consistent repairs and some care it still gets me where I'm going comfortably and holds numerous people and things. As long as the gas prices stay low, I will hold onto this vehicle until it gets up past 200,000 miles. Despite its drawbacks I enjoy driving and riding my Suburban.
Story
Using the suburban for longer trips has allowed for comfort and easy drives. We went to Galveston one time and drove it through town and onto the Bolivar Ferry then all the way down the island and had no issues with the vehicle. A memorable day indeed.
Pros
The suburban's size alone is a component of its best attributes. Whether I or my wife are driving the vehicle, I don't fear for our safety. We also own a small car and it does not give near the same feeling - I really hope we avoid a wreck in either but particularly in our car since the Suburban is so safe to ride in. At the same time big grocery days and moving things around is no trouble either given that we took the back seat out of the vehicle and enjoy tons of room at the back.
Cons
If I was driving this vehicle outside of a city, I could expect around 16-17 miles per gallon. However, since I encounter stop and go traffic a few times weekly sometimes I register closer to 10 miles per gallon. Thankfully, the last year or so has seen gas prices staying below two dollars per gallon and have been easy on my pocketbook. If they go back to $3 and above per gallon that's going to hurt.

The dealership was nice but the first dealer we spoke with (Chuck) gave us the run around after he took all of my personal information and he kept trying to put us in a vehicle we didn't like. We ended up having to go through another car salesman.

The salesmen at this dealership are very knowledgeable and answer questions truthfully. I felt that they were honest and gave me a reasonable price on the Suburban. I also saw they had a good selection of cars that ranged in model and price and age. I would buy a car from these people again and tell all my friends and coworkers about it.

This dealership is very friendly. The salesmen are helpful and did not pressure us at all. We were offered drinks and a 24 hr test drive. We would buy here again.
