I like that the Suburban is a large vehicle. It has enough space to fit at least eight if using the third row seat. It also has the ability to remove and fold seats down to use as an enclosed yet spacious truck bed! I also like the comfort of feeling safe being in such a big vehicle. People seem to move out of the way seeing such a large vehicle coming their way! I like that my truck has the double-rear door. But at the same time, the double-rear door being convenient to open and shut makes a huge blind spot in the rear view mirror! Gas is also a huge con for this vehicle. It is great for pulling trailers and hauling, but the money it takes to fill such a large 35 gallon tank is ridiculous! With gas prices as high as they are, a v8 is definitely not the most economic choice!
Story
The memorable statement I get from my usage of my truck is the fact that everyone says, Whoa! That's one big truck for such a small person!!" I love that!!
Pros
The top positive attribute to my truck is the fact that it is a 4x4, so I have the ability to lift it and have my mini-monster truck that I've always wanted!! I love the feeling of being higher that all the other cars and trucks on the road. My truck just looks beefy!
Cons
The amount of money that has to be spent on gas has got to be the worst part of my truck! I never imagined how much money I've spent to keep gas in the truck!

I have a ’94 red Suburban. Got it for just over $1k 5 years ago and have been forever thankful that I got such a great deal on my truck. The vehicle is reliable has a great engine. It's a common vehicle that is easy to get replacement parts on. With a little mechanical aptitude and some solid internet searching skills I've been able to save a great deal of money maintaining this truck by myself.
Story
My family moved down to Southern California from Washington state a few years ago. We left my Suburban and my cats with my parents while we settled into the area. I flew back to get the cat and the truck, I made room for the cats in the back. I thought they'd sit back there, but for most of the ride, I had one cat on my lap and another cat under my seat.
Pros
The interior has plenty of space to haul stuff around. It’s not a more modern SUV, so I don’t have to worry about damaging the interior. Under the hood has plenty of space for working on the engine, you can climb I that thing. The truck rides higher than most other vehicles so I feel like I have better vision while driving; it also rides smoother than my car. If gas wasn’t an issue, I’d much rather be driving my Suburban.
Cons
The power steering takes a few seconds to kick in. My Suburban is not a four wheel drive. It’s not as fuel efficient as more modern engines. In the summer, the air conditioner can’t cool the truck fast enough, in the winter, the heater can’t keep it warm. Fuel indicator wobbles all over the place.
