My truck is a 1997 two-door Tahoe, which makes it much shorter than the regular four-door Tahoe. It's a great truck so far! I have only been driving it for about two months now. I bought it with no motor, so I had to put one in. But since putting the motor in, I have had no mechanical issues nor have I had any electronic issues. It has a very good turning radius compared to the Suburban. The fact that it is shorter than a normal Tahoe, makes it much easier to fit in smaller parking spaces. It is also much more easily maneuverable than the four-door Tahoe and the Suburban, which is a plus! I have had no interior rattles until I started taking things apart to put a stereo in. The door handles seem to break easily though. And I believe there was a recall on this model for the pa... (more)
Story
Since I haven't been driving this truck long, the funniest thing I can say about my truck are the looks and the questions people have when I pull up and I jump out of the truck! The door handles are above my head, so people see me jump out and they just look and ask how I get in the truck!!
Pros
My favorite thing about my truck is that it is lifted!! It feels great knowing that I can just run whatever I want over! The power everything is great! Power seats, door locks, windows, and rear hatch makes things much easier!
Cons
Unfortunately, now that I'm getting older, the two door isn't as fun as it used to be! It's hard to get in and out of the back seat with the two-door model!! Because it is lifted so high, I can't open the back of the truck because I am very short! So, that makes things difficult.

We just got this car about 6 mths ago when our old car got totaled. We needed something that would haul us, our 2 kids, and our 2 dogs around with us on a regular basis. We looked at a lot of SUVs, but this one had the best bang for our buck: roomy, enough seats (we wanted at least 5), decent gas mileage, and four wheel or all wheel drive. This sucker drives anywhere (we live up a long mountain road that pretty much becomes impassable in inclement weather) and is super comfy for those of us with long legs.
Story
The first big trip we took it on was up to my parent's cabin near Yosemite. The kids loved seeing the park for the first time, and we took the car everywhere from Pike's Peak to Mono Lake. It was a great time!
Pros
I love the seating. It seats 7, so we can hold our kids and my sister and her two kids. I also love that I don't have to catch a ride up to my house. This car can handle the drive! I love how interactive the stereo system is. The sound is great and its easy to use with our DVD player. I love my leather seats. So comfy all year round!
Cons
The gas mileage isn't as good as our old Honda. Obviously it can't beat a commuter car on that. The trunk area is really narrow sometimes. When we go camping, we have to use a trailer or one of those shells that you can carry on your roof rack. Sometimes the pilot seats are a pain. I'd almost rather have a bench seat and the extra place for someone to sit.
