The Tahoe is excellent on road in the city or highway but also exceeds expectations in off-road situations such as mud or snow. The Tahoe is easy to handle if familiar with a bigger vehicle and is a very smooth ride. With the automatic moving mirrors along with the rearview camera, the Tahoe is easy to park by reversing or even parallel parking. There are so many different controls as options such as memory seats, cooled, and heated seats as well as automatically folding rear seats. It's just hard to not like this vehicle.
Story
Driving through snow up the mountain. While other cars were getting stuck, the Tahoe cruised up the mountain no problem.
Pros
The interior is excellent, the seats are comfortable, and the ride is great. There is a lot of room, and due to the fact that the back seats and be removed and the front seats folded down, a lot of space can be made inside of the vehicle. The sound system is great and really packs a punch while the DVD system is a nice feature.
Cons
It does have a rather low MPG rating due to the weight and V8 engine. Depending on where you live, you can put in the lower grade fuel, (85 octane), but it does appear to cause a slightly sluggish response in the vehicle while driving.

The 2001 Chevy Tahoe is an amazing car! I have had it for a long time and it has 177,00 miles on it. The car has a very high quality interior. The seats have not ripped since the time I've owned it. The steering wheel is very nice. It has not ripped or stopped working yet. Another thing is the way it drives. The four wheel drive is very nice especially in the snow. The defrost works very well. When I get into it after a cold night and turn on the defrost it melts all the ice and snow off! The engine is very nice and has not needed any work yet. The seatbelts have worked and have not needed replacement. Next is the high quality windows. They have not needed replaced except for the windshield. It needed replaced after a hail storm. After, the car has needed a little bit of work. First th... (more)

Got a really good price for a pre owned Tahoe with all the bells and whistles and not too much mileage. My sales person was informative, not pushy. My only complaint is my seat warmers stopped working shortly after I got it. But I'm not going to take the car to the dealership for service though, because they always charge an arm and a leg. Taking it to my mechanic or doing it myself instead. This will probably be my only experience with them, not due to poor sale, just no reason to go back to them.
