2008 Dodge Caliber - Basic.
This car has treated me unbelievably well as a first car. It has been in the family since it was new in 2008, and was passed on to me from my father with nearly 200,000 miles on it. The car still runs extremely well, and has been very cheap to maintain. It is very fuel efficient, and overall is a very cost effective vehicle. The interior is about as basic as a 2008 car could possibly be, with no power locks, seats or windows. But like I said it is a wonderful car overall.
Story
I would often drive this car to the beach with my girlfriend or friends for days in a row each summer.
Pros
The car is a hatchback, so there is no shortage of cargo room. My Caliber has never had a serious breakdown or other mechanical problem. I love the look and feel of the car, as it drives really nicely. On the highway, I would estimate that I get about 30 miles to the gallon, which is pretty impressive for a car of that age.
Cons
My biggest complaint is the lack of technology in my particular model. It is definitely an economy car. It has very few luxury features, and the inside can be a bit crowded when all the seats are full.
2008 Dodge Caliber - Nice Car for the Money
I have really enjoyed my Dodge Caliber! I love how sporty it is and it has been such a dependable car. The seats and upholstery have help up so well, everything still looks new! There are no rattles or noises when I drive, and I have had my car for almost 8 years. It gets great gas mileage, and for being a smaller car I can fit a ton of stuff in it. My Caliber also has great get up and go and is very reliable.
Story
We took the Caliber to the beach one day. We had a great time. I had been worried about it getting stuck in the sand but it drove great. We just popped open the hatch and sat there enjoying the view.
