The truck is very comfortable, and the quad cab grants easy access and exit into the vehicle. The V8 motor, while not very good on gas, runs very strong if properly maintained. The interior is sturdy, and does not show wear and tear, even after years of use. The large windshield provides a wide, commanding view of the road. The size and sturdiness of the truck provides a needed feeling of safety.
Story
It is fun to take to the drive-in movies, as well as pulling camping and other entertainment vehicles.
Pros
The quad cab offers a very spacious feel, while granting easy access and exit into the vehicle. The motor, if properly maintained, provides more than enough power to haul or tow just about anything. The large windshield offers a wide, commanding view of the road.
Cons
The main con of the vehicle is poor gas mileage. The bed is also quite short, due to the size of the cab, so hauling lumber and other building materials takes careful planning.

It was available by special order from the dealership, but it was on a showroom floor in Indiana. This was one of the last of this series that was available with those particular features. We had to wait for the dealer to locate this item in a showroom in Indiana and have it brought down to us. It was a combination that was worth more to us but we did get it at a discount from the original price being a floor model. We have taken this truck acro... (more)
Story
It is nice that a normal size adult or dog can get through the back window if necessary. We have used this feature often especially at our local flea market where our truck doubles as a booth.
Pros
The V8 manual transmission was the selling point. We love the extended cab feature as it was just large enough to fit a car seat behind the passenger seat.
Cons
Dodges in general are known for the front end suspension going out sooner or later. A general toughening of the suspension would be important on these models.
