2006 Ford Ranger - Ranger Tough
I purchased a 2006 Ford Ranger new in June of 2006. Overall, I really like the roominess in the cab. The seats fold forward easily to access the extended cab area. The tailgate is very easy to open, sound system is high quality, and the speakers pick up all the low and high notes!
Story
My 11-year-old granddaughter is in love with my truck. She has asked me if I will promise not to sell it as she really wants it for when she is old enough to have her first vehicle. She has told her friends her grandma is going to give her the Ranger as soon as she gets a drivers license. She has told me she wants to have it repainted her latest favorite color which is green. It is currently w... (more)
Pros
The 4.0 V/6 engine is loaded with power. I have had several occasions when passing another vehicle they decided to speed up, no problem, my Ranger had extremely quick precise acceleration enabling me to safely pass the other vehicle and merge over! Seat height and thickness is exceptional. I have owned the truck for over ten years, and the seat is as firm as the day I bought it!
Nice to have the option to turn the passenger airbag off with a simple turn of the ignition key. Great to have when my Grand daughter is with me.
Cons
One negative item is the lack of jump seats in the rear extended cab. The first year Ford declined making a Ranger with the rear jump seats was in 2006. That is a con to me! Now I am restricted to having only three passengers total and one needs to be slim or we all won't fit in the front seat. I am only 5'1" and weigh 131 , this will explain in further detail the seating cons! The second negative would be fuel consumption, no matter how careful I drive it averages 16 mpg around town and 23 on the highway.
2005 Ford Ranger - It is a sturdy truck.
It is a grey ford ranger. It has exactly 48120 miles on it. It performs really well.
Story
My most memorable story is me taking it out on a nice country night. Driving it while looking at the stars.
Pros
My favorite pro is how easy it is to drive. It also drives really good in snow.
Cons
I hate how small the truck is. I wish the cab was more bigger.
