Automatic transmission has to be the worst ever designed by a major automotive manufacturer. Major issues known to Ford and class action lawsuits however Ford refuses to permanently fix the issues. Will make you bring the car in numerous times to replace the same parts. When replacing parts under warranty, they require you to pay for a rental car at your own cost. When it is working it shifts like it has a shift kit in it (herky - jerky). Many complaints from numerous people about the way it shifts. So-so Ford interior dull and nothing unique about it. Now the blower controls will work sometimes and not others. Normally stuck on defrost and not able to get cool air from the main vents. Stereo is lack luster. I liked the charcoal metallic color of the car. It was different then the usua... (more)
Story
We were able to fit six grown adults in this car once in downtown Nashville doing Uber.
Pros
Wish I would have bought the ST model of this car with the manual transmission. Would have liked to of bought the car new and not used.
Cons
The Transmission and its many demons. The blower controller getting stuck on what ever setting it wants too and you having to do everything you can to change it. The Ford Sync system just freaking out and not allowing any phones to be called or changed at all.

This car is great if you get the manual version of the car. However, Ford only offers the manual version in the ST model. This is a great disappointment because of the automatic transmission and several known flaws with it. If Ford would admit to having an issue with this model and transmission specification and fix it for people, then this would be a great car. However, the transmission is a big issue for this vehicle.
Story
There really is nothing memorable about this car. It is a basic econobox that you do not see many around. You are not likely to see a lot of these cars due to most being in dealers getting their transmissions replaced or repaired.
Pros
I like the options that come in the SE model Focus; the sync audio system usually works properly. The seats in this car are comfortable, and the car gets great fuel economy. The engine runs smoothly when the transmission is not messing up.
Cons
The transmission in this car is a known issue of Ford. However, even though they had a class action lawsuit against them for this transmission, Ford will not recognize that they had a bad design and recall this transmission and fix it properly. Because of the transmission issues, the car hops and skips and jumps from a stop or from a coasting maneuver. The only way to get the car to properly shift is to drive it like you stole it and make it shift hard. If you do that, however, your fuel economy will greatly suffer, and then still you are almost certain to have transmission issues at one p... (more)
