I love the new body style of the new Nissan Sentra! Although it doesn't have as many bells and whistles as my old Sentra (2010) it's a much more attractive car. My MPG have increased slowly since buying the car. My tires have worn out faster than expected, though. I would highly prefer leather interior but that wasn't available at the time. Still a comfortable car. I had the windows tinted and with the car being dark blue it looks like the unmarked police cars in my area and people are hesitant to pass me on the highway. It is the same size as the old Altima so it has more room in it than the older one, which is nice, but it still looks small because it is more sleek and low versus the older, rounder body style. Requiring synthetic blend oil is a definite bummer. I find myself changing... (more)
Story
Decided to lay the back seat down to avoid so much dog hair on the seats. On my way to work one day my Great Dane was trying to get comfortable laying on the seat back...Eventually she settled down so I looked to see how she had gotten comfortable and she was in the trunk, using the seat as a pillow.
Pros
Gas mileage, body style, size, general appearance
Cons
Less attractive dash/ controls Not as many compartments Smaller console and glove compartment Required synthetic blend oil

After eight years and 130,000 miles, this car drives like new. The steering is still tight, acceleration peppy, cabin is sound-tight and the finish is in great shape. The interior and exterior trim are all original, no issues with them. The suspension is still firm, giving a comfortable ride.
Story
When I go to the home-building supply store and buy things like eight-foot long 2x4s and load them right into the car (the seats fold down) and then close the trunk. All these big manly guys with pickup trucks and lumber hanging over their tail gates, just look dumb struck.
Pros
The back seats fold down easily to accommodate big loads. The front seats give good support and make long trips much easier without road weariness. I had to replace a fuse once. I was gratified to find the manufacturer provides spare fuses, a fuse puller and an easy to read fuse map. I am still getting 32 MPG on trips, 29 MPG in town.
Cons
There has been an issue with mice getting into the heat and A/C ducts and building a nest in the blower fan. I researched how to access the blower fan and discovered that many people have had the same problem with Sentras. If I were not a DIY person, it could have cost me $250 to have the nest removed.

The dealer did a great job of helping me identify the best vehicle based on my price range and the things I was looking for (.I.E. Color of the car, make, etc.)

The large selection of cars and friendliness/lack of pushiness of employees intrigued me. It has a great location in downtown Nashville, yet is still big enough to have a large inventory.
