2007 Toyota Tacoma - Excellent reliable vehicle.
The Tacoma is the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. After over 160,000 miles I have never had any problems that required replacement or maintenance. The only maintenance I ever have to perform is an oil change and tire rotation. It provides the functionality of a truck without the bulk and maintains excellent handling. It is an absolute dream to drive. I have thoroughly enjoyed driving this vehicle and would recommend it without reservation.
Story
After I got the truck I took it out mudding and it did quite well despite being a two wheel drive.
Pros
Toyota maintenance and support are excellent to work with. In my opinion the only compact pickup of its time that doesn't lack style. Reliability is unparalleled. Incredibly fun to drive. Safety features are excellent. Excellent stock stereo system. Extra storage compartments in bed as well as underneath and behind rear seats. Comfortable, quiet ride. Outlet available in bed.
Cons
As it is a compact pickup the towing capacity is not anything special and gas mileage suffers noticeably when hauling heavy objects. The overall cruising range is seemingly about 300 miles. The low fuel light comes on after about 17 gallons have been used, and it took a Google search to uncover the fact that the truck has a 22 gallon tank. Gas mileage is good for a truck, but not great overall. Difficult if not impossible to find one with leather seats.
1997 Toyota Tacoma - The small engine that could.
I love my Toyota Tacoma. It is a 1997 model and two wheel drive but what an amazing truck it is. I have had more people want to buy my truck at gas stations and out and about. I have had my Tacoma for 14 years and put almost two hundred thousand miles on it but other than basic oil change, windshield wipers, brakes, etc. I have only had to replace radiator and wheel bearings. That's incredible considering the amount of use I put into it. I've moved 3 times with it. I've help dozens of times moving with people. I once had a stove, fridge, washer and dryer in the back and went 400 miles with it and it drove like nothing was there. Although I wish the bed and cab of my truck was bigger. I can see myself buying Tacoma's for the rest of my life if all preform like mine.
Story
The roads can be muddy around my area. A friend called and said he was stuck in a 4wd jeep. I said I would come pull him out. He didn't believe it when my 2wd Tacoma got to him and pulled him out.
Pros
Good gas mileage
Great handling
Never breaks down
Easy to get in back of
No maintenance
Sturdy frame
Favorite feature: Long term durability
Cons
Small cab and bed
Chrome bumper rust easy
All manual windows
2 wheel drive

2013 Toyota Prius -
This dealership was closest and I also have friends who bought cars from them and they really liked their salesman.
2009 Toyota Camry - Phil Bachman Honda Kingsport
The dealership isn't that great. The people always seemed fairly unhelpful. They just had the car that I wanted.
