Good First Car!!
I drive a 2009 Kia Rio bought new off the lot in 2010. The car gives a comfortable ride but long drives aren't that great. The seats are comfortable for short commutes but if you're spending a lot of time in traffic or driving more then 30 miles one way I would suggest bringing a cushion or something. I loved the warranty that came with my car. I have only had one major issue with the car and it comes from adding automatic locks after retail (so technically not even the cars fault). The gas mileage is decent I usually average about 29mpg combined highway and streets. The only time the gas mileage goes south is when I forget to change the oil for a while. The car otherwise runs great. I did not have to replace the brakes until 2013 for the back and 2014 for the front. And the original tires on the car lasted me 3 years before I moved to sportier tires. Maintaining the car is really easy I only get oil changes every six thousand miles or when I remember usually once every 5-6 months. I have only changed the transmission fluid once and have never had any major issues with the car. It came with a USB port, an AUX jack, that finally broke after 5 years of constant use and a decent sound system.

Great little car for the price
We purchased this car back when we weren't really looking. The Rio5 is a small car, but it does hold five passengers a little cramped. Four would be far more comfortable. The one thing that has been both a blessing and a drawback is the traction control. Never having had it, it took quite a bit of adjusting to become accustomed to how and why it works. For entertainment, it has the standard satellite radio, plus we can play both CDs and MP3 discs. There's also a plug in for an iPod and/or an iPhone. That is something we don't have, so we cannot use our own devices to load music through the radio. The car does have good pick up, especially in our mountainous region. The gas mileage improves when on the highway, compared to the city or in town. The maintenance costs can be a bit steep if you're not prepared for them because of the fact the parts have to be brought in to our local dealer in order to have repairs done. Overall, it's a good car, one we enjoy very much.

Kia Rio5 - Great Hatchback
I bought this vehicle a few months ago and it's been a great addition to our family. Of course with Kia you get a ton of free specs that come with the vehicle. I love the hands free calling that links any Bluetooth capable cell phone with the speakers and you can speak with anyone without holding your phone. You're also able to dial hands free with built in voice command calling. It's a very roomy vehicle, I'm able to fit five adults comfortably. The ride is smooth and I've almost never feel any potholes. It came with keyless entry and large trunk. The hatchback (trunk) came with a netting to secure groceries and what not. The dealership also threw in a spare and a tire jack. The issue I have with the carpet mat that covers the back seat is that it became bent with in the first week of use. I wish it had a few more features like a touch screen display, rear-view camera, park assist, and day/night headlight sensors. But overall I'm happy with the car and I believe I'll have the Kia for many years to come.
