Kia Spectra OWNER RATINGS & REVIEWS

Affordable and dependable.
I’ve had this car since college and it has been one of the best vehicles ever! It’s has a very roomy interior (although my 6 foot tall husband sometimes disagrees). The trunk has a lot of space too, especially for such a small car. I’m really bad at keeping the maintenance up on cars, and this little Kia has stuck in there with me through every missed oil change. Since it’s a five speed it really has some get up and go power that along with the gas mileage makes it a great highway driving car. The only thing I don’t like is the fact that the window buttons are starting to have some issues and the interior is very hard to clean.

Gets the job done on the cheap.
I own a silver 2005 Kia Spectra. In the years since (2017), I've put about 87,000 miles on it and not had any major problems with it. I like that the seats in the back fold down so I can transport longer items that reach into the trunk space. It's got power windows and passenger and driver side air bags as well as a decent crash rating. I feel safe in it. On the downside, it's not a luxury vehicle, but for $10K, it's a fantastic value.

Steady commuter and family car.
I bought this car initially for a commuter car. I lived 45 minutes away from work and needed something that was reliable and fuel efficient. Over time I had two kids and while it's tight on space, it provided a safe and reliable way to transport my kids and commute. It's easy to drive and easy to maintain. It's not top of the line in comfort or durability but it's extremely fuel efficient and will get you where you need to go. It handles surprisingly well in bad weather conditions too. I live in an area with major snow fall and it's never gotten stuck or failed to get me down my long winding gravel road. I've also taken it out some really gnarly Forest Service roads and it's never ever failed me, even in crazy road conditions. I have the hatchback version and it's got so much space in the trunk it's not even funny. True story, I once had to transport a Turkey 2 hours away and all I had was my Kia Spectra. I laid down tarps in the truck and my full grown Tom Turkey rode in the truck, gobbling at every car that passed, happy as a clam.
