The base 2014 Chevrolet Sonic has a 138-horsepower four-cylinder engine that is adequate around town but struggles on the highway. It comes standard with a five-speed manual transmission. The available turbocharged engine has the same horsepower but a lot more torque for better acceleration. Both engines are available with a six-speed automatic transmission in some models. The Sonic’s combination of a comfortable ride, accurate steering, and athletic handling make it fun to drive. The base engine has an EPA rating of 26 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway, which is low for a subcompact car. The turbocharged engine with the six-speed manual returns 28/38 mpg city/highway. The turbo’s better fuel economy and acceleration make it a better choice, even for the higher price.

Very good performance. The suspension is impressive, being able to drive around curves or slaloms at a good speed. The dashboard is easy to read and informative, showing relevant information. The sound system is also impressive.

We had a good experience with the initial purchase of our vehicle. The sales associate we worked with was no pushier than your average sales associate. We feel we got a good deal on our car. We knew exactly what vehicle we wanted when we came in, so there wasn't a whole lot to the decision-making process. We haven't had as good of an experience with their service department - the mechanic who worked on our vehicle seemed to be somewhat less than honest and would upgrade our oil to a more expensive option without checking with us first. Additionally, service prices aren't as good as some in surrounding areas. However, for vehicle purchase, we would recommend this dealership.

First thing is that this company has an affiliated rental car service, so all of the sales come from the pool of rentals, and rentals in general are more well taken care of than other used cars on the market. You can tell that the guys who work at this Enterprise really want to make sales, but they are not pushy about it, unlike some of the other dealers my wife and I visited last month.
