Best little commuter car ever! With a 100-mile daily commute, I needed a vehicle with great fuel economy, safety, and dependability and that’s what I got. I’ve been averaging 36-MPG with combined city and highway driving, just a little shy of the advertised 40-MPG. From the outside, this looks like an uncomfortably small vehicle, but seat placement is perfect giving my 6’1” frame ample room. The back seat is restricted to 2-passengers by a fixed center-position catch tray and beverage holder, but comfortably seats two adults on shorter trips. As expected, power is somewhat lacking and it can be a slight challenge to negotiate an on-ramp merge but not unsafe. Once up to speed, keeping up with traffic is no issue at all with enough reserve to pass as needed. And speaking of passing, when being overtaken by larger vehicles this little Spark holds its lane and resists turbulence well for its weight. One of the surprise benefits was how this car is such a head turner. I’m constantly being asked about it and people always walk around back to read the badge.
