My 04 Chevy Trailblazer is an enjoyable and powerful vehicle. I purchased it to haul a trailer which it does with ease. It can power up a hill or do anything you need it to on the road. It is comfortable and roomy for a medium sized SUV. Unfortunately, it seems to have chronic electrical problems. My lighting module went out within a week, my ignition switch recently went out, my 4x4 selector switch currently does not work, and the headlights flicker for some reason. Also, it gets relatively poor fuel economy--particularly for its size. I enjoy the vehicle but the minor issues add up to death by a thousand cuts.

This vehicle has awful gas mileage, about 11 mpg. We did not buy new and had problems from the beginning after this purchase. Windshield leaked and mildewed the carpet. Back speakers did not work. After having this vehicle for five years and thousands of dollars in up keep and repairs, it still has issues. Window motor constantly goes out. The A/C knobs constantly go out. The passenger-side headlight low beam stays out, no matter how many times you replace it. The windshield wipers come on and stay on for however long they want to. But this SUV is going. No motor problems ever. Most problems seem to be electrical.
