Wow! What a great truck!
I enjoy my Dodge Dakota because not only is it a safe, reliable and sturdy truck, but it has great handling and has awesome pickup. It's a comfortable ride, it is easy to clean and maintain and has plenty of storage capacity. Living in the rural area of the mountains, it is really important that I have a truck that can handle the performance that is required for rugged roads, and the Dodge Dakota not only handles the drive, but seems to have increased performance capacities when taking mountain roads. Don't let that fool you about city driving, though- the Dodge Dakota is just as proud of a steed on urban roads as it is on rural ones. The gas mileage is great as well, I often am getting over twenty-five and over miles to the gallon. One thing that some people might not like as much about the Dodge Dakota is its smaller size. While not as small as some mid-sized trucks on the market, it is smaller than others. This does not seem to be that much of an issue in our family, as drivers of the Dodge Dakota vary in height from five foot two inches to six foot two inches.

A solid truck for its age
The 1995 Dodge Dakota is is one of the best used car investments I have ever made. Don't let the old age fool you, this truck is a beast. It drives so smooth and quiet that you wouldn't even know that it has a V8 in it. The truck has good gas mileage especially given that it's an almost 20 year old vehicle. I paid about three grand for this truck used with 100,350 already on it. Over the past 5 years I put about 108000 miles on it. In that entire time, it never needed any major repairs done. The three things I like most about this truck is that it can take a beating, is easy to repair, and is a very smooth ride. I use my Dakota mainly for transporting heavy equipment to construction sites. It may not be as good as a 2015 model Dakota but it gets the job done. Most of the repairs can be done without going to a mechanic. For example, I just flushed the transmission and engine oil a few days ago. It took less than an hour. My Dodge Dakota runs very quiet unless I slam my foot on the gas. When the engine revs into higher gears it sounds like a sports car. Whenever I have a passenger, they usually comment on how smooth the ride is. No one seems to expect that from a 20 year old truck. The model I have has power steering, heating and ac, power windows, and radio. Although I wouldn't recommend buying this vehicle given its age, I really love it and wouldn't trade it for anything.
