My Dodge Durango has been with me for 5 years and I love it. There were few mechanical problems and maintenance is very affordable. It handles well in standard driving conditions and in non-standard conditions such as driving over grass, over curbs etc. Unlike other SUV’s that sit high, the Durango does not. It sits at the right height and is perfect for my young children to climb in and out of the car. I did not even have trouble getting in and out of the car while 9 months pregnant. My mother has a Ford Explorer, which sits considerably higher, and it was NOT comfortable. The styling is also great. It is perfect when I am traveling with my family and still looks sporty enough that I don’t feel like a soccer mom when traveling alone or on a date with my husband. The Durango is also great for hauling big items if things don’t fit in the “trunk area” I can increase that area by folding down the 3rd row of seats. Let me also mention the ease of folding down the 3rd row, my 5 year old can fold it down all by himself. If I still need more room I can fold down one or both 2nd row seats, there is no need to borrow your uncle’s pick-up with the SUV. A stylish family car that seats 7 people, it is perfect for my family.
