2008 Ford Edge - The good, bad, and ugly: 2008 Ford Edge
I purchased the 2008 Ford Edge from my parents when it was just three years old. I truly love this car. The size of the car and the power behind it makes it perfect for long road trips or even a simple commute in the city, as I live in Metro Atlanta. The best feature of the car is the handling, second only to the size of the car. It drives like a dream, and with routine maintenance, it will last many more years. Since I purchased the car, I have only a very small number of complaints. The gas mileage is not the greatest, especially now that it is a little older. In the city, which is where the majority of my driving takes place, I average about 13-14 miles per gallon, whereas on the highway, I can stretch that up to about 24-26. There is no Bluetooth feature in this vehicle, although t... (more)

We drove this car up to Niagara Falls a few years ago and it was perfect. Even climbing mountains in North Carolina, it handles like a dream.
A Favor
Handles like a dream. Size is perfect for comfort during long road trips.
En Contra
Gas mileage. No Bluetooth feature.
2011 Ford Edge - Great for a small family
I really liked the look of the Edge. It had a sleek modern look, but not too futuristic. It came with a sunroof and leather heated seats which are great in the winter! A GPS system was installed in the car and came with an awesome feature of a camera that shows your surroundings when putting the vehicle in reverse. It is a bit small now for our growing family, as the seating can only accommodate 5 people, so that I don't like so much.
Historia
My husband surprised me with this car. We had gone a few days earlier to the car lot to look at them and test drive one. I didn't think we would be buying a car for a few months, but he showed up to pick me up from work in my new car that I got to drive home.
A Favor
My top positive items from this car would be *The camera so you can see behind you when you reverse. *The push button key and push start. I don't have a "real" key that I have to insert into a slot on the door or in the ignition once in the car. The door will unlock when I touch the handle as long as the key is in my possession. I can push a button once seated in the car to start it. *The heated seats are a good thing to have when it is cold in the winter. Definitely not a necessity, but a good bonus to have.
En Contra
I thought the cons of this car was *it didn't get too many miles to the gallon, I personally didn't think. It got about 22. *When accelerating and if on an incline the car took a bit to switch into a different gear, pulling a little too much for my liking. *I could live without the sunroof. If you ever forgot and left the shade open in the summer, the car was scorching hot when you got back in it.

2008 Ford Focus - Pioneer Auto Tucker
A friend of mine recommended the place and I gave it a try. He told me they charge less taxes and are great for people with poor credit.
