The 2012 Dodge Ram 2500 is my first pick-up truck, and I am absolutely in love with it. I purchased it used in 2014, and it's been one of the most reliable, dependable vehicles I've ever owned. It's heavy duty, great for hauling what I need. The 4WD is excellent in all kinds of bad weather, including torrential rain and snow. One of the things that surprised me most about this truck was how comfortable it is. I'd always been under the impression that pick-up trucks have bare-bones, uncomfortable interiors. But this one is cushy and luxurious and feels better than any car I've ever owned. The truck drives smooth, and I would buy one again!
Historia
I call my truck the Big Beautiful Blue Beast, because it can do it all. We drove it cross-country to visit family, and it was perfect for hauling camping equipment!
A Favor
Love the 4WD for inclement weather or when I need to bring something into my yard (i.e. dirt for my garden). Incredibly comfortable on the inside, with plenty of interior storage. Great for long trips with family! Easy handling and smooth driving.
En Contra
The only negative thing we've experienced with our Ram is that rust starts on the lower part of the frame very easily, even with good care (especially after wet winters, when we have a lot of salt on the roads). Also, the gas mileage isn't great, because it's a pick-up truck. We're hoping for a more efficient one in the future, when the time comes for another vehicle.
