Used Ford Explorer for Sale in Springfield, MO

The '99 Ford Explorer XLT is a great looking SUV. I particularly like the small amount of chrome trim. The body is solid, and at almost 20 years old, that's saying something! There is no rust and only a couple minor cosmetic issues. My only complaint is the same complaint that I've had with every Ford made in the late '90s—the electronics always go. The windows are slow. Based on experience with other Ford vehicles in this age group, they will probably stop working soon. The rubbery material that the cruise control buttons are made out of seemed to melt in the summer heat, came apart in chunks, and are no longer functional. The rear wiper doesn't work. The speakers on the left side of the car go in and out. So there are numerous electrical issues. But overall, it has been a reliable truck with only a few mechanical issues. It's a tight squeeze with two car seats in the back, but there is plenty of room in the rear for all the gear that goes with being a parent!

I hope bought this was going to be a great vehicle.. found it used for a great price and it had all that I wanted. Seats were brown leather and a Forrest green outside I was hooked. But it didn’t last over a year and I was very let down.
