2014 Ford Focus - One of the Best
The 2014 Ford Focus is an exceptionally proficient vehicle for anyone looking for a basic sedan at an affordable price. The interior is roomy, comfortable, spacious, and stylish. The dashboard is easy to navigate and simple, a plus for anyone who likes a more minimalist user experience in driving. The technology included is very functional, including automatic windows and a great-sounding stereo system. In terms of the build and engine room of the vehicle, the Focus neatly balances style, size, and muscle in its package. The four cylinder engine provides a profound amount of horsepower and torque for the size of the car, a rare feature for the notoriously mediocre drivetrain Ford provides. The transmission is smooth, seamless, and responsive to acute changes in power output. To complem... (more)

The four cylinder engine provides a profound amount of horsepower and torque for the size of the car, a rare feature for the notoriously mediocre drivetrain Ford provides. The transmission is smooth, seamless, and responsive to acute changes in power output. To complement that, the car seems to have a low center of gravity and a wide distribution of street-to-wheel surface area contact, allowing the car to handle very well both at high speeds and in non-ideal conditions. The frame is sturdy and clearly built to last a long time. After a year of use, the Focus has not required any major repairs beyond oil changes. The trunk has plenty of space for luggage and storage. I transport large items such as bikes and musical instruments. I also particularly like how easy the car is to use and how compact it really is for its caliber of power and resiliency. One thing that I don't favor is the seemingly limited technical abilities the car provides. There is little in the ways of cool, innovative technology. For example the front seats adjust manually and the rear windows are crank-operated. Overall the 2014 Ford Focus is an excellent choice as an affordable entry-level ride for the easy commuter.
One memorable story I have in the ford focus is a road trip I took from Tacoma to Bellingham, WA. I loved cruising along in the comfy vehicle and was able to take in the beautiful views around me without much bother for the handling of the car. It kept me going to all the nooks and crannies of the drive up and back, including gas stations, the various stops along Chuckanut Drive, and touring the humbly ambitious city of Bellingham. Its one of my favorite memories to date.
Great gas mileage (32 avg), powerful engine, resilient components, sturdy build, responsive transmission, comfortable interior, easy operation, long-lasting hardware. My favorite features are definitely the high-quality stereo system and the capable, versatile driving.

2013 Ford Focus - Spiffy
I have been loyal to the Ford brand since I was 20 years, and I am moderately satisfied with my Ford Focus. Aesthetically, I love the Sangria Red color - it is not too bright, and not too dark. Furthermore, I love the body style. It looks similar to the Fusion, which is a model up from mine that it is very sporty looking. I love the stitching in the interior leather seats. Moreover, I love the placement of the radio, and the additional buttons to control it on the steering wheel. I do like the touchscreen, but there have been quite a few updates to debug it and I know newer models have an entirely different system all together. Nonetheless, I am satisfied with it. The vehicle could get better gas mileage. However, I do far less driving with this vehicle so it balances out. It... (more)

The vehicle could get better gas mileage. However, I do far less driving with this vehicle so it balances out. It has really great driving performance, and handles very well for an economy sized vehicle. The only performance issue I have is that there is a known transmission problem, and I have had my car in the shop several times for warranty-covered repairs. It is such a known issue that the maker has extended the powertrain warranty to cover this issue long term. The inconvenience of having these repairs done can be frustrating since there have been more than two. The cost of the vehicle was a little pricey, but I got a good deal on my trade in which balanced it out.
In Seattle, we don't get a lot of sunny days. I love driving this vehicle with he windows down on a sunny day with the music up, priceless.

The perfect color of red, the shape/style of the vehicle, the interior noise while driving, performance, and gas mileage.

Numerous repairs due to mechanical error, did not get as good mileage as my previous model, and the touchscreen was buggy.
