The Mini Cooper is very quick and handles like a go kart. It has a great deal of curb appeal and has been called "my dream car" by some people who have seen it. The interior is much more spacious than one would think by looking at the outside. The fit and finish is very good and the gas mileage is great, considering the power that the car has. However, almost from the beginning the Mini has been thirsty for oil. Research has told me that is a characteristic of the vehicle and not a signal that anything mechanical is wrong with the car. It burns about a quart of oil for every 1,000 miles of travel. In short, she looks like a princess and runs like a race horse, but you have to keep her happy under the hood, and well hydrated with top of the line synthetic motor oil.
