My wife and I have owned several cars in this size range, and the Honda Civic is by far the best of the bunch. We get great gas mileage. The retooled Civic is larger than most in its class, and it is extremely reliable. Even after a year and a half, we still talk about how great the car is. We have taken it on long road trips, and it is the most comfortable car we have owned.
Historia
It is great on road trips, and the car is super fast and responsive on the highway. Really fun ride.
A Favor
We get almost 34 mpg, and the engine is still powerful, agile, and quick. I am 6'5" tall and have plenty of room, whether I am driving or even in the rare occasions when I sit in the back seat. The electronics are great. The back-up camera is more useful than I could have ever imagined. We have yet to have a problem - no trips to the mechanic except to change the oil. The car is sturdy and solid, not lightweight like some of its competitors.
En Contra
The off-white seats stain easily, and the back-up camera doesn't work well when it gets wet in the rain. Otherwise, I don't have any complaints. We would buy another Civic or any other Honda in a heartbeat.

This is a great little car with all the bells and whistle needed. This car gets great gas mileage; it averages around 37 miles per gallon. It is dependable and a great smooth ride. I have around 24,000 miles on it and, as of yet, have only had to do the standard maintenance of oil change on it. It provides a very smooth ride.
Historia
Love to drive this car around. Love to go to the park. The trunk on this car is very large, and I once packed a huge lunch...big enough for 50 in the trunk. I took it to the park and pretty much served a picnic out of the back.
A Favor
Great gas mileage no problems with this car whatsoever. It has a back-up camera and also it syncs with your cellphone for hands-free phone answering. This is a great dependable car that looks great.
En Contra
I hate the light-colored tan upholstery. It stays dirty and gets dirty very easy. It is not very durable. It stains very easy.
