Great vehicle, not what I am used to
I am very impressed with the build quality of this vehicle. It has over 150,000 miles on it at this point. The interior is in excellent condition. It has leather interior that is showing almost no wear. All of the electronics are factory and work very well. The Monsoon sound system is very good quality. The exterior of the vehicle is in excellent condition as well. The paint shows no signs of bubbling or peeling. The chrome does have a few spots that have not held up as well but still looks really good for its age. I have had no major mechanical or electronic problems with it. I expect it to continue to function and hold up well with regular maintenance. Being someone who's two previous vehicles were full sized SUVs, I would say that the interior size of the Hummer H3 compares more closely to a large sedan. While the outside is about the same as my previous SUV. The engine is a five cylinder, which I thought would be somewhat economical. However, the sheer weight of this vehicle causes excessive fuel consumption.

Great SUV
When my husband came home with the Hummer H3 for me to use, I was initially very upset. I had always equated the Hummer as having really bad gas mileage and just too big for me. After the first drive, my dislike turned into sheer joy. This Hummer is smaller than the others which, for me being rather short, was a plus. I don't need a ladder to get inside. In addition, I feel safe being somewhat higher than other vehicles. Not only that, it does not zip through the gas tank as fast as the traditional and larger versions. I can go about a week on a full tank, and I drive quite a bit. I'm not sure exactly what the gas mileage is, but I do not notice it getting sucked up any faster than my previous vehicle.
