I love the Sonata because it has great pickup when merging on the highway. It carries great gas mileage for those long commutes on the highway. The trunk has lots of space and seats open up wide for those larger objects. When a school bus t-boned me, you couldn't even tell from the inside how much damage there was and kept me and my two-year old safe without any kind of injury. What I dislike is the fact that the oil changes seem to be so expensive due to the setup of the engine and the time it requires a mechanic to get at the parts needed for the change. With the fact that the car has 140,000 miles and has been through three accidents, I would say it has held up well in the last 11 years. I wouldn't say it would last as long as a Toyota would though.
