Dependable, comfortable, trustworthy
My car has been with me for 10 + years and nearly 200,000 miles with little repair work needed along the way. She's comfortable with plenty of leg room, and the back seats fold down to give you more than enough room for your run of the mill hauling. My Suzuki got me though college with boxes of food and blankets, and several moves and house renovations since then. I get around 20 miles to the gallon, which isn't the best but I'm not complaining. This vehicle feels foreign with its manual transmission -- an excellent quality that is getting more and more difficult to find these days. The manual transmission, combined with easily engage able four wheel drive make for excellent control in the snowy northeast of the United States. Reliable starting, easy to access engine compartment, and comfortable ride make this one of my favorite cars to date.

Small, family approved.
I purchased this car used with a pretty good number of miles on it and was completely satisfied with the smoothness of the ride, the condition of all features, etc. Despite having a high number of highway miles, it still drove very well and the interior had been well-kept by the previous owners. It's not the biggest car, but the backseat fit two car seats safely, comfortably, and easily. The trunk space was also very adequate for a full-size stroller when needed for family outings, as well as suitable for a large grocery trip. The look of the car isn't really anything special, but the interior is roomier than the outside. In addition to these awesome aspects, the fuel efficiency is pleasing, provided that you use non-ethanol if the model year for the car is prior to the introduction of ethanol. Ethanol gas in my 2004 Grand Vitara was not as efficient as non-ethanol.

Suzuki Vitara - Okay Buy
I purchased my Suzuki the same year I married my husband (back in 2010). I had just totaled my last vehicle and needed a vehicle to help me accommodate and shuttle my new husband and his daughter. I had $12K in my pocket and needed a vehicle for just my tiny family of three persons (and maybe one more soon), and one that had good gas mileage. At the time I believed that my Suzuki would meet those qualifications. It was compact, had advertised good gas mileage, and I was able to purchase it without a car payment. Win-win! Almost the day after we drove the vehicle off the lot I began to experience issues, though. The car constantly needs oil, the A/C has needed topping off twice, the headlight is always out, and the gas mileage does not live up to all that was promised. Now that my family has grown to five members, the car is too cramped to consider keeping it any more. I am hoping in my next vehicle to get something larger with better gas mileage.
