Good up until warranty expired
The car was great until the rear window washer broke, windows on driver and passenger side motors broke, computer sensors for tires stopped working and transmission was slipping. Otherwise, I really liked the car and the gas mileage up until that point. At the warranty mark however, we traded it in because the $4,000 required to fix it was not worth it. I love Toyota and it's quality. It was the first car we had ever had issues enough in Toyota to get rid of it. I loved the seats and the room. The leather heated seats were wonderful on a cold, winter day. The Highlander seated 7 adult easily and had room for packages as well. I think mine was just a fluke that all the things went out at the same time. One other complaint is that there is too much room where the steering wheel meets the dashboard, a cord got stuck once there and ended up ruining the airbag and it had to be replaced. Great car to have in snow and rain. I miss a lot about it. It was a great car for trips, great gas mileage. It was fun to drive and felt great! I like the look of the 2010 better than the newer ones with the chrome they added to back of the tailgate.

Multifunctional and spacious
After owning five Camrys, I took the plunge and purchased a Highlander. At first, I really didn't like it. It wasn't the sedan feel that I had been used to. I liked riding up higher, but it didn't feel as comfortable to me. As I got used to it, I loved it more and more. It handles exceptionally well in rain, and I really dislike driving in rain. I spent the money on an extended warranty but never needed it. This has been the best Toyota I have owned and had zero issues with it except maybe a visor that went haywire. I really like how flexible it is where I can add a third row for seating for people or can collapse all of it and transport as much or more than a truck. I added a rooftop carrier and bike carrier on the back that allows me to fit and transport just about anything. We have a large farm in the Appalachian mountains, and my car has been up and down the logging trails.
