The Toyota Prius is a fun car to drive. It is not a luxury car by any means, but it is comfortable and well-designed. I've taken many long family trips in that car, and it has enough space to hold things, is quiet enough, and has enough front and back leg room for all the passengers. The Prius is a little more expensive than similar-sized sedans, but its improved gas mileage and less frequent oil changes save money and time (at the gas station and at the shop) on a month-to-month basis.
A Favor
The main selling point of the Prius is its good gas mileage. It is a full-size vehicle that can get 45 miles per gallon, and there are screens that will show you if you are driving for optimal gas mileage. When gas prices rise, the car really saves my family money. Not having to worry about constantly stopping for gas on long trips is a huge selling point. One of the design features I like best is that the Prius is a hatchback. Because the seat will lay down, hatchbacks have an incredible amount of hauling space, much more than a car with a typical trunk.
En Contra
On the negative side, the Prius has had several recalls for which it had to go in to the service department, but those were all free to me. The only cost was time. Also, like I said previously, the vehicle's initial cost is inflated, perhaps due to demand and technology. The cost of the Prius is not great up front compared to other vehicles of similar size and features.
